Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time X Ray Screening in Houston, TX. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, screen visitors, and patrol to deter security incidents, while providing excellent customer service.

Role requires 2+ years in security, high school diploma, background check, and drug screen. Pay is $16.33/hour with a flexible schedule and opportunities to grow within the logistics and distribution environment.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct individuals to appropriate areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by policy.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized entry and report security-related concerns.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and irregularities accurately and completely using required reporting tools and procedures.
