Penn State Abington seeks engaging and dynamic candidate to fill a newly created position of Professional Writing Tutor.
This opening is primarily in person and will work in the Chaiken Center for Student Success to provide tutoring in Writing across the curriculum to undergraduate university students.
The tutor will also develop workshops, structured academic initiatives, as well as other collaborative opportunities that engage faculty, student organizations, and other members of the campus community.
The Professional Tutor will interact with faculty and staff to promote the services of the Chaiken Center and to ensure that tutoring services align with the course objectives.
The Professional Tutor will be responsible for maintaining a record for each student tutored, e.g., Starfish Outcome Notes, Client Report Forms, Satisfaction Surveys, etc.
Because of the needs of the campus, the ideal candidate will have a strong social/behavioral sciences background.
