Advantage Surgical and Wound Care in the New Orleans area is seeking a Part-Time Wound Care Specialist (1-2 days/week) to perform bedside wound care in post-acute care facilities. You will round daily, collaborate with facility staff, and provide education to nursing staff and families.

The role emphasizes clinical autonomy, no on-call requirements, and scheduling flexibility across multiple facilities in Louisiana. Valid medical license and driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Active state medical license (MD/DO) required.
• Board Certification preferred (Family Practice or Internal Medicine).
• General Practitioners welcome to apply.

Responsabilités

• Deliver wound care at the bedside in the post-acute care setting.
• Round daily at multiple facilities.
• No call, evenings, or weekends.
• Collaborate with facility staff to ensure an effective wound care plan.
• Educate nursing staff and maintain communication with PCPs, families, and clinical teams.
• Order necessary medications and provide clear instructions for their use.
