Job summary

Roxborough Memorial Hospital in Roxborough, PA is seeking an experienced Wound Care Physician to join our outpatient wound care and HBO program. This flexible position is part-time/per diem with a minimum commitment of two days per week, typically 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

You will evaluate and treat acute and chronic wounds, develop individualized plans, perform wound care procedures, and coordinate care with other specialties to optimize patient outcomes in a ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• Active outpatient wound care experience
• Board certification or eligibility in an appropriate specialty
• Current medical license in Pennsylvania
• Current DEA registration, as applicable
• BLS/ACLS as required by the facility
• HBO certification/training required if participating in hyperbaric services
• Excellent clinical, communication, and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations
• Diagnose acute and chronic wounds and develop individualized treatment plans
• Order, interpret, and coordinate appropriate diagnostic testing
• Prescribe medications and provide patient education and counseling
• Coordinate care with primary care physicians, specialists, nursing staff, and other healthcare providers
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
• Evaluating wound progression and modifying treatment plans as clinically appropriate
• Managing complex and non-healing wounds in an outpatient setting
