SALARY: $17-$19 per hour depending on experience.

Job Description

Lanier Technical College - (www.laniertech.edu) -Dawson Campus; Dawsonville, GA - is conducting a search for the following part-time, non-benefits eligible, FLSA non-exempt position. NOTE: A background check is part of the selection process.

Duties include:

• Performing routine maintenance on equipment as instructed
• Assisting with inventory and requisition of supplies
• Assist faculty with the supervision and mentoring of students during scheduled lab sessions or tutoring sessions as needed
• Assist faculty with maintaining a clean and safe lab environment

This is a temporary, part-time position that is appointed on a per-academic-term basis. It is an hourly-paid position; up to 29 hours per week.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must have at least 2 years of experience in the welding field or have the ability to demonstrate competencies relevant to the position requirements.

• Ability to assist with instructional materials, evaluating students’ progress in achieving instructional goals and objectives, ensuring safety and security requirements are met in the training area.

Preferred Qualifications

• Possess one or more of the following welder codes: AWS D1 1API 1104 ASME B31.1
