Job summary

Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) seeks a dedicated Welding Instructor to deliver comprehensive welding training on BPCC campuses and at multiple Northwest Louisiana locations. Emphasis on safety and proper equipment handling to prepare students for industrial environments.

Travel across campuses and facilities is required to support the program. The instructor will teach welding courses, maintain standards, assist with curriculum updates, and collaborate with the team to ensure

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in performing structural welds and ability to teach this information to students using current practices.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment with both small and large groups.
• Ability to work with a diverse population including non-traditional and underserved students.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of a student information system and/or basic computer software applications.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and written.

Responsibilities

• Teaches assigned welding technology courses and labs in accordance with workload policy.
• Maintains instructional standards and course materials.
• Delivers instruction using standard methods and alternative delivery as needed.
• Post and maintain office hours in accordance with policy.
• Maintains familiarity with school policy and participates in assessment of student outcomes.
• Keeps accurate student and instructional records and assists in curriculum development.
• Reviews and updates course outlines, textbooks, and lab procedures.
• Collaborates with colleagues to address teaching and research issues and participates in college committees.
