Job summary

Paul D. Camp Community College is seeking an Adjunct Instructor for the Welding program in Suffolk, VA. This part-time role focuses on hands-on lab instruction, student mentoring, and supporting career/technical pathways within the Division of Workforce Development.

The instructor will oversee on-site and off-site sessions, assess learner progress, and collaborate with the college community to promote quality education for diverse learners. AWS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Valid active AWS certification in marine trades.
• Knowledge of industry safety topics and tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to teach, assess learner progress and provide feedback.
• Ability to plan, organize instruction for on-site and off-site delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction, support, assessment, and mentorship to welding learners.
• Teach in classrooms, laboratories, field sites, distance learning and labs.
• Develop and align learner outcomes with course standards.
• Maintain complete, accurate educational records and adapt to state requirements.
