Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College is seeking adjunct welding instructors to deliver courses, maintain attendance, and assess student learning using statewide syllabi. The pool remains open to build a qualified candidate list for future openings as adjunct instructors.

It requires strong credentials in welding (journeyman card, welding inspector/educator, or DOE license) and proficiency with Canvas (Ivy Learn) and Microsoft Office. This is a part-time, semester-by-semester position.

Qualifications

• Applicants must meet welding credentials or equivalent experience.
• Ability to teach using Canvas and MS Office.
• Commitment to diversity and inclusive instructional settings.
• Part-time adjunct to be hired per semester as needed.

Responsibilities

• Create a learning environment to help students reach goals and provide effective instruction and assessment.
• Teach assigned classes, meet scheduled sessions, and follow statewide syllabi.
• Maintain attendance and grading records per college policy and assist students outside class time.
• Notify program chair in case of emergencies and coordinate with the chair for issues.
