Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Staff Chaplain (Part Time) to provide spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and staff. The role operates on a weekend shift, 20 hours per week, with Saturdays 7:30 am–8:00 pm and Sundays 11:30 am–8:00 pm, with flexibility as needed.

The chaplain will offer professional spiritual care within a multidisciplinary team and coordinate bereavement services, while supporting multi-faith needs and maintaining patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Graduate level theological degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive spiritual and ethical care as a member of the healthcare team.
• Provide spiritual and ethical consultation to medical staff to enhance patient care.
• Coordinate acute bereavement services.
