Job summary

Catamount Ski is seeking a part-time Snowsports instructor to provide high-quality ski and snowboard lessons to groups and individuals, while adhering to safety standards and Your Responsibility Code. You will match students to skill levels, maintain a safe learning environment, and assist with operations such as registration and equipment fitting.

The role requires the ability to work weekends and holidays, strong communication, and prior instruction experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 14 years of age and pass a criminal background check.
• Intermediate or above skier/snowboarder.
• Excellent communication with groups and individuals.
• Willing to work long and irregular hours including weekends and holidays.
• PSIA/AASI/USSA certification preferred.
• Experience instructing children or school groups preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruct skiing/snowboard to groups and individuals of varying levels.
• Match students to appropriate skill level groups and coordinate with supervisors.
• Provide a safe and fun learning environment with effective teaching methods.
• Assist with registration, equipment fitting, lesson meeting, and facility upkeep.
• Attend required meetings and trainings.
• Discuss lesson content with guests and communicate progress to guardians as appropriate.
• Supervise children in class and assist with lunch/snack times.
