Job summary

ADUSA Distribution is seeking a Sanitation Associate in Dunn, NC to maintain cleanliness and safety across the distribution center. You will be responsible for debris removal, mopping, equipment cleaning, and daily sanitation tasks to support efficient operations.

Responsibilities include reporting issues to maintenance, adhering to safety standards, and helping improve procedures to boost productivity and reduce costs.

Qualifications

• Able to reach, stoop, bend and lift up to 60 lbs.
• Able to stand for long periods.
• Able to work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions.
• Able to work the needed schedule to perform assigned duties.

Responsibilities

• Pick up debris, empty trash cans, remove spills promptly; dust racks, doors, lights.
• Sweep and mop slots.
• Clean sanitation equipment, including boxes and mops.
• Sweep and scrub floors and outside areas for safety and sanitation.
• Maintain equipment daily; top off fluids and clean brushes.
• Follow sanitation practices; keep area clean and debris-free.
• Report equipment and pallet jack problems to maintenance.
• Suggest procedural improvements to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with ADUSA Distribution standards (accuracy, safety, productivity).

Primary Purpose

As a Sanitation Associate, it will be your job to maintain all sanitation standards established by the Distribution Center in order to ensure a clean and safe work environment for all associates.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Pick up debris, empty trash cans, remove spills in a prompt manner, dust racks, doors, lights, etc.
• Sweep and mop slots.
• Clean sanitation equipment, including sanitation boxes and mops.
• Sweep and scrub floors, as well as outside areas to help ensure the safety, proper sanitation and efficiency of the distribution center.
• Maintain equipment daily, topping off fluids, cleaning out brushes and washing equipment.
• Follow good sanitation practices; keep work area clean and free of debris.
• Report equipment and pallet jack problems to maintenance.
• Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting work group or distribution center that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with ADUSA Distribution standards in the areas of accuracy, safety and productivity.

Qualifications

• Able to reach, stoop, bend and lift up to 60 lbs. of equipment.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Able to work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e., cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks).
• Able to work needed schedule to perform assigned duties.

Preferred Requirements

• High School Education.
• Certification on powered industrial equipment where applicable (will train associates).
• Familiarity/experience in a distribution environment.

Other Skills

• Able to meet production standards set by the company.
• Able to read and understand written and numeric product identifiers.
• Highly motivated self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
