Job summary

Heritage Oaks Group in Georgia seeks a Life Enrichment professional to develop and implement engaging activities for residents in a non-profit setting. You will coordinate calendars, work with the director on program needs, and support patient-centered activities across the center.

The role requires collaboration with IDT members, promoting programs during evenings, weekends, and holidays, and assisting with a volunteer program. Certification is preferred within the first year.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in a social or recreation program within the last five years or one year in a skilled nursing or similar care setting.
• GHCA Activity Director certification or eligibility within the first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and evaluation of life enrichment programs.
• Develop and maintain calendars reflecting patient needs including special occasions and group activities.
• Promote ongoing delivery of life enrichment programs during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Assist in development and maintenance of a volunteer program (screening, orientation, training, supervision, evaluation).
• Participate in Interdisciplinary Team meetings and resident care conferences as directed.
• Participate in the RAI/Care Plan process per guidelines.
• Coordinate and deliver life enrichment activities; maintain supplies and equipment.
• Serve as facility liaison to promote community engagement.
