Job summary

Wegmans’ Ashland distribution center is seeking a part-time warehouse selector to accurately pick products for our stores, using attention to detail and teamwork to ensure timely deliveries.

You will operate equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts, maintain cold chain integrity, and follow safety standards. Overnight shifts consist of four 10-hour days with a $20.50 per hour pay and a $500 bonus potential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure pallets of product are built safely and efficiently to minimize damage and maximize trailer space.
• Safely operate equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, and Vocollect.
• Perform order audits to determine accuracy and quality.
• Maintain knowledge of quality standards/specifications for all products.
• Inform operations management of daily quality issues using reports and other communications.
• Maintain cold chain integrity on loads with temperature requirements.
• Lift 20-25 pounds on average, with occasional heavier lifts.

As a warehouse selector on our distribution team, you’ll help deliver exceptional service by accurately and efficiently selecting products for Wegmans stores, using your attention to detail and teamwork skills to ensure success.

Work schedule: Overnight positions consist of four 10-hour shifts per week

What You'll Do

• Ensure pallets of product are built safely and efficiently in a manner that minimizes product damage in transportation and maximizes trailer space

• Safely operate equipment necessary to perform job duties; this may include a forklift, pallet jack, and/or Vocollect

• Perform order audits to determine accuracy and quality

• Maintain knowledge of all quality standards/specifications and requirements for all products

• Inform operations management of daily quality issues using reports as well as other forms of necessary communication

• Maintain the integrity of the cold chain on loads that have temperature requirements

• May work in and have exposure to cold temperatures; lift weight of 20-25 pounds on average with maximum weight lifted greater than 50 pounds occasionally to frequently

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience with operating a pallet jack, forklift, and Vocollect
