Job summary

SQA Services is seeking a Visual Source Inspector to support weekly supplier inspections at a manufacturing facility in Santa Clara, CA. This is a part-time contract position requiring approximately 1 day per week for an initial 6-month engagement.

The inspector will perform visual inspections of form-in-place (FIP) gaskets, thermal pads, and mechanical assemblies to ensure workmanship meets customer requirements. Initial training is provided on-site.

Qualifications

• Experience performing visual inspections in manufacturing
• Strong attention to detail and applying workmanship criteria
• Basic understanding of mechanical assemblies and manufacturing processes
• Ability to work independently and maintain accurate inspection records
• Strong written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform weekly visual inspections of mechanical parts with FIP gaskets and thermal pads
• Verify workmanship against acceptance/reject criteria
• Inspect gasket and thermal pad placement and application quality
• Verify cleanliness and workmanship of finished assemblies
• Document inspection results and report nonconformances
• Maintain inspection records and communicate findings to SQA and client
• Conduct inspections professionally within supplier's manufacturing environment
