• Assists with handling basic medical emergencies for pets and owners
• Assists with medication pickups and information about services and products
• Inputs and manages data in practice management software including billing
• Assists with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, and maintaining records
• Reconciles cash drawer and performs end-of-day duties for accurate transactions

Position Overview

Join our team as a Care Coordinator who contributes to the success of a high‑performing organization committed to delivering superior care and exceptional service. Performs a range of administrative and customer service tasks, providing valuable support to the hospital. Within the veterinary field, this position aligns closely with roles often titled Veterinary Receptionist, Customer Service Representative, or Client Care Specialist.

Westside Animal Emergency Clinic

in Lithia Springs, Georgia, is a dedicated emergency veterinary hospital providing after‑hours and critical care services. With a highly trained team and a fast‑paced environment, they deliver urgent, life‑saving care when pets need it most.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service in‑person, over the phone, and during high‑stress situations.
• Manages lobby flow, addresses concerns, calms distressed owners, and schedules appointments.
• Handles basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and well‑being.
• Assists with medication pickups, inquiries, and provides information about services and products.
• Inputs and manages data in practice management software, including billing and accounts.
• Assists with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, and maintaining records.
• Reconciles cash drawer and performs end‑of‑day duties for accurate financial transactions.

Qualifications (Required)

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position
• Must have experience in a veterinary hospital/clinic for at least 6 months

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Preferred experience with ezyVet (our PIMS)

Schedule

• Part‑time position is 2‑3 shifts a week (would vary depending on the needs of the hospital). Shifts are:
  • Monday‑Friday shifts from 5:30pm‑1am
  • Saturday shifts from 11:30am‑8pm
  • Sunday shifts from 8am‑5pm & 5pm‑1am
  • Holiday shifts from 8am‑5pm & 5pm‑1am
• Must be available to work any of these shifts as the shifts/schedule will not be the same every week.
• Schedule is posted a month in advance.

Pay Range

$16.20 — $19.80 USD
