Qualifications

• Must hold a DVM or VMD and a current license to practice in the state.
• Completion of a 3-year AVMA-approved residency required.
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups.
• Client communication and education.
• Maintaining accurate medical records.
• Pharmacy duties including prescribing medications and controlled substances adherence.
• Promote teamwork and staff efficiency.
• Participate in weekly priorities with Hospital Manager.
• Monitor hospital protocols from intake to discharge.
• Attend daily rounds when possible to uphold high standards.
• Engage in practice management updates and training.
