Job summary

Four Paws Veterinary Hospital, part of the CareVet network, is seeking a compassionate part-time veterinarian to join a collaborative two-doctor team. The position offers a consistent Monday, Wednesday, and Friday schedule, with no weekends, and opportunities to build lasting client relationships and provide high-quality medicine.

You will work with a supportive team in a well-established hospital, using Pulse EMR, IDEXX in-house diagnostics, digital radiology, and ultrasound to deliver

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required.
• Licensure in the state to practice veterinary medicine.
• A passion for compassionate care of pets and their owners.
• Excellent dexterity for handling animals during exams and procedures.
• Ability to make quick, sound decisions under pressure.
• Strong understanding of animal behavior and welfare.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients and team.
• Experience with medical technologies used in diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities

• Examine animals to assess health and diagnose problems.
• Treat and dress wounds and injuries.
• Perform surgical procedures as needed.
• Test for and vaccinate against diseases.
• Operate medical equipment (e.g., x-ray, ultrasound).
• Advise owners about general care and treatment options.
• Prescribe medications and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure high-quality patient care.
