Responsibilities

  • Monitors residents in individual/group recreational activities and facilitates participation.
  • Plans, develops, implements and leads daily activity groups, trips, and special events.
  • Assesses residents’ abilities and interests to determine activity needs.
  • Completes required and related documentation and care plans.
  • Escorts residents to and from activity treatment areas.
  • Transcribes data on resident progress reports and records.
  • Transfers and supervises residents on planned recreational trips when assigned.
  • Contributes to team projects and collaborates with other departments to meet residents’ needs.
  • Assists residents in setting up and eating their meals following established guidelines.
