Job summary

Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston seeks a part-time Pharmacy Technician to support our hospital pharmacy. Responsibilities include handling pharmacy calls, processing refills, relaying orders, and coordinating with veterinary staff on prescriptions.

Prior MA pharmacy tech license or internship status is required, with at least 1 year in retail or hospital pharmacy. Knowledge of MA Board of Pharmacy rules is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous animal handling experience (novice)
• High School diploma or higher required.
• MA Pharmacy Technician license or Pharmacy Intern license required; 1 year of retail/hospital pharmacy experience suggested.

Responsibilities

• Answer and address pharmacy phone calls.
• Process medication refill requests.
• Relay medication orders to outside practices.
• Communicate with veterinary staff regarding prescription orders.
• Fill medication and prescription food orders and flavor pet-friendly dosage forms.
