Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. in Los Angeles seeks a Hiker (Vehicle Transporter/Truck Driver) to deliver and return Penske vehicles, including box trucks up to 26'.

This casual, on-call part-time role requires a Class B CDL (Class A preferred) and a clean DMV record, with English proficiency and the ability to work evenings and weekends. Hours are flexible, with up to 25 hours per week, and compensation is $20.10 per hour for Class C.

Qualifications

• 2 years of driving experience required.
• 2 years of a clean DMV record required.
• Valid Class B CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures while driving trucks to Penske locations or customer locations.
• Check vehicles to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order and report issues.
• Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
