Job summary

Masonic Village Assisted Living is seeking a part-time Van Driver for weekends from 10 AM to 3 PM. The role involves transporting residents to medical appointments and other approved destinations safely and courteously using facility vehicles.

Requirements include being 18+, having a valid driver’s license and CDL, at least 1 year of patient transport experience, and the ability to pass a background check. We value compassionate service to the elderly.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license and CDL license.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience transporting patients.
• Ability to interact professionally and compassionately with residents, families, staff, and the public.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Strong desire to work with and support the elderly population.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments in facility vehicles.
• Assist residents in and out of the vehicle as needed while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and operational vehicle in accordance with facility and safety standards.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and facility transportation policies.
• Conduct routine vehicle checks and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain timely transportation schedules and communicate delays or concerns to staff.
• Provide courteous and respectful interaction with residents, families, staff, and medical providers.
• Ensure resident safety and well-being during all phases of transport.
