Job description

At St. Coletta's, our mission is to serve children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities so they can achieve their greatest potential.

The Community Day Services provides a variety of programs to enhance each individual’s adaptive living skills, economic self-sufficiency, overall level of independence, and integration into the community.

We are seeking a Part-Time Van Driver (20 hours per week) to transport persons enrolled at the Job Training Center in a safe and responsible manner, abiding by the Rules of the Road and Agency Policies and Procedures.

Schedule: 1st/2nd shift (part-time), Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 8:30 AM and 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM (20 hours per week)

Pay rate: $21.29 Hourly

Responsibilities:

• Transport clients in a van to the Community Day Service Program.
• Monitor and record vehicle operating conditions daily; report mechanical issues immediately.
• Ensure routes are followed on schedule, prioritize client safety, and record transportation details as required.
• Perform general vehicle maintenance, refuel as needed, and maintain an insurable driving record.
• Assist Job Training Center staff with client supervision, and train and supervise clients on safety procedures during transit.
• Complete all required documentation in accordance with agency policies and deadlines.
• Maintain professional conduct and appearance when interacting with agency and external personnel.

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois driver’s license
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Pass criminal background check
• Pass physical, drug screening, and MVR background checks

Benefits:
