Job summary

Gordon Food Service is hiring a Van Delivery Driver to ensure courteous, on-time deliveries with accurate order fulfillment. You will operate the van safely, assist with store operations, and maintain strong customer relationships on every route.

The role emphasizes safe driving, proper product handling, and adherence to security and merchandising standards across daily routes. Candidates should be able to lift up to 70 lbs and pass required checks.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of delivery driving experience or related customer service preferred.
• Unrestricted standard operator license required.
• Clean driving record with no major offenses in last 5 years.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• Willing to pass pre-employment drug screen, background, and MVR checks.
• Able to maneuver a cart with up to 350 lbs and lift up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Accurately locate and pick orders in-store for wholesale customers.
• Build and maintain good customer relationships.
• Ensure on-time, accurate deliveries of Gordon Food Service products.
• Perform daily pre-/post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Process purchases at point of sale per security protocols.
• Receive and merchandise products with proper rotation and planogram execution.

Job description

Van Delivery Driver

As a Van Delivery Driver you will be responsible for courteous, on‑time, and accurate deliveries of products with a variable daily route. This role will operate the van in a professional and safe manner, demonstrating attention to detail and safe work habits. Additional assistance with store operations before or after completion of route.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

• Accurately locate and pick orders in‑store for wholesale customers.
• Build and maintain good customer relationships.
• Keep customers happy with accurate, timely deliveries of GFS products.
• Perform daily pre/post trip inspection of vehicle and equipment.
• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer purchases through the point of sale, following security protocols.
• Accurately receive and merchandise products, ensuring proper rotation and product quality, end cap and planogram execution, top stock, freezer, cooler and backroom organization.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of delivery driving experience and one year in customer service or related field preferred.
• Unrestricted Standard Operators License required.
• Clean driving record (no drug or alcohol offenses in the last 5 years).
• Minimum age 18 years.
• Successfully pass pre‑employment checks: drug screen, criminal background check and motor vehicle report (MVR).
• Able to use a two‑wheel cart with up to 350‑pound load.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs.
