UrgentVet Hospitals in Sarasota seeks a Part-time Senior Veterinary Assistant to provide outstanding patient care, lead a supportive team, and deliver excellent client service in our fast-paced, state-of-the-art urgent care clinic. The role supports cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and IDEXX in-house labs to ensure top-tier care.

The ideal candidate has animal-handling experience, phlebotomy and basic lab skills, is able to lift up to 40 lbs, and is available evenings, weekends, and holidays;

UrgentVet bridges the gap between daytime general practice and emergency/overnight care, offering after-hours care for canine and feline patients without the additional expense of emergency clinic fees. Our hospitals provide care for common urgent cases, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. Each of our paperless clinics is designed to deliver efficient care and equipped with cloud‑based EMR, digital x‑ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in‑house lab equipment.

• Prior experience working with animals in a hospital setting.

• This position requires regular on‑site presence as an essential function of the role.
