Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a part-time Advanced Practitioner (NP/PA) to support urgent care services at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center. You will provide preventative care, assess acute and chronic illnesses, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with a primary care physician.

The role emphasizes efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and patient education in a fast-paced urgent care environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Master's in Nursing program or a Physician Assistant program.
• Certification and current NP or PA license to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• DEA
• MCSR

Responsibilities

• Performs thorough physical examinations while obtaining complete physical history
• Maintains patient record and relevant statistics by documenting patient information and care provided
• Evaluates/interprets data in an effort to ascertain preliminary diagnoses and to make therapeutic plan recommendations
• Administers medication and injections in compliance with state law and employer guidelines
• Obtains specimens for lab analysis, schedules and prepares patients for diagnostic testing.
• Provides instructions to patient, family and care providers relative to required medications, acts as a care advocate in providing recommendations
