Job summary

Sylvan Learning is seeking an part-time Instructor to teach upper level math in a small-group 3:1 setting. You will be trained on the Sylvan curriculum and will provide personalized instruction in math and SAT/ACT prep.

Responsibilities include supervising students during instruction, documenting progress, and communicating needs to the center director. Evening and weekend hours are available; join us to inspire confident learners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required (as stated).
• Advanced knowledge of calculus, algebra 1 & 2, geometry and trigonometry.
• 2 years teaching or tutoring preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Teach using Sylvan-based programs.
• Supervise and motivate students during instruction.
• Reward students for completed assignments.
• Evaluate and document student progress.
• Communicate student needs to the center director.
• Inspire students with engaging lessons.
• Develop rapport and a fun learning environment.
