Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) in Mountain View, CA. You will monitor and safeguard students, staff, and visitors; maintain a visible presence to deter incidents and support access control while delivering excellent customer service. Position Type: Part Time. Pay Rate: $19.87 per hour. Schedule includes daytime and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: Customer service experience is preferred.
A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Background investigation per laws; criminal histories considered.
Drug screen where permitted by law.
Licensing requirements per state/local laws; may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures and site policies.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly following school protocols.
Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, classrooms, common areas, entrances, parking, and perimeter.
Monitor access points and observe visitor activity per site procedures; report unauthorized access or concerns.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
