Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer for a technology location in Chesapeake, VA. You will provide customer service, patrol assigned areas, monitor access, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

The role offers flexible day and night shifts and a pathway to explore additional shifts through the Claim a Shift platform. The position requires being 18+ (21+ for armed roles when applicable), a high school diploma or equivalent, and background checks/drug screening

Qualifications

• Guard Card/License preferred.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required as per law.
• 18+ (unarmed) / 21+ (armed) age policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate activity and incident documentation.
• Support a professional environment by communicating clearly with site personnel and following Allied Universal and client site protocols.
