Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Unarmed Security Officer in Black Mountain, NC to monitor and protect a grocery retail location, provide customer service, and deter security incidents.

You will perform routine patrols, report concerns, and support employees and visitors while adhering to site policies. A background check and drug screening are required where permitted by law, with licensing as applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly, escalating according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to site contacts and leadership.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports in line with site procedures.
