• Provide courteous security-related support to residents, staff, visitors and partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, staff, visitors, and partner agencies by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government homeless services location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site personnel and emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, perimeters, and adjacent grounds, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with access control and reporting suspicious, unauthorized, or hazardous conditions.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site personnel.
