Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer to patrol and protect government facilities in Raleigh, NC. You will provide customer service, deter security incidents, and document observations using a tablet or computer.

Schedule is determined during onboarding, with a parking provision and a flexible, part-time commitment. Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and pass background and drug screening as required by law.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles.
• Background check required in accordance with law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required per state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at government facilities by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of government buildings, grounds, and parking areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorizations; report unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and professionally; document actions taken.
• Maintain daily activity and incident reports and communicate with site representatives, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed.
