Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Unarmed Security Officer in Philadelphia, PA to monitor and safeguard clients across Commercial Real Estate locations. You will deter incidents with a visible presence, perform badge verification, and respond to routine security concerns while delivering professional customer service to tenants and visitors.

As part of our team, you’ll use tablets or computers to document activities, access control events, and report incidents.

Qualifications

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the building, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, tenant, and vendor activity in accordance with site‑specific procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance or security‑related concerns to appropriate personnel.
