Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer for a Brooklyn, NY location. You will monitor premises, assist patrons, respond to incidents, and maintain a visible security presence at a retail location.

This role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to learn our shift-management tools. Minimum requirements include at least 1 year in security, high school diploma, and ability to pass background and drug screening.

Qualifications

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patrons and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail food and beverage location.
Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols of dining areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions, hazards, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
Maintain accurate daily activity logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
