The Salvation Army—Solid Rock Music Academy seeks a dedicated Ukulele Instructor to provide high-quality, individualized lessons for students of varying ages in a Christ-centered setting. You will develop engaging curricula, model proper technique, and nurture musical growth aligned with Christian values.

You will prepare students for recitals and performances while adhering to SRMA safety policies and standards, fostering a supportive community where students can develop their God-given talents.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in ukulele across styles and skill levels.
• Ability to read ukulele notation and chord charts.
• Prior experience teaching ukulele or related instrument to children, youth, or adults preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging ukulele lessons tailored to each student.
• Develop lesson plans aligned with program standards and Christian values.
• Teach proper ukulele technique including hand position, strumming, fingerpicking, and chord formation.
• Foster a Christ-centered, encouraging learning environment.
• Prepare students for recitals and showcases.
• Follow SRMA policies, safety procedures, and code of conduct.
