Part-Time Tumbling Coach Schedule: Weekday afternoons and evenings - Hours vary according to employee availability, class enrollment, and studio needs. The studio operates Monday through Friday, with classes scheduled between approximately 3:00 and 9:15 p.m. Additional hours may occasionally be available for substitute teaching. Job Summary Tip Toes and Taps is seeking an experienced, safety-focused tumbling coach to teach students ages 2 and older in a positive, family-oriented studio environment. Our ideal coach understands proper tumbling progressions, can safely spot students at multiple skill levels, and knows how to make classes structured, encouraging, and engaging. Candidates should genuinely enjoy working with children and be committed to helping every student progress safely and confidently. Responsibilities Plan and teach developmentally appropriate tumbling classes Teach proper technique, strength, flexibility, conditioning, and skill progressions Safely spot skills including walkovers, handsprings, aerials, tucks, and related progressions Evaluate student readiness before introducing or advancing skills Maintain a safe, organized, and well-managed class environment Adapt instruction for different ages, abilities, and learning styles Monitor student development and complete progress reports twice annually Communicate professionally with students, families, and team members Perform assigned opening or closing duties, including equipment setup and light cleaning Attend quarterly employee meetings and required studio events Provide substitute coverage when available and needed Follow all studio safety procedures and policies
Qualifications:
Relevant tumbling, gymnastics, acro, or cheer training Prior coaching or teaching experience Demonstrated ability to safely spot walkovers, handsprings, aerials, tucks, and related skills Knowledge of safe skill progressions and appropriate readiness standards Experience working with children, including young students Positive, patient, reliable, professional, and team-oriented Weekday afternoon and evening availability Willingness to complete a required background check
