Salvation Army in Alexander City, AL is seeking a part-time driver who operates a Salvation Army truck on scheduled routes for donation pickups and merchandise deliveries. You will also ring up sales, handle cash, and assist customers in-store.

The role includes maintaining vehicle and donation security, balancing cash, and supporting thrift store and warehouse tasks in a dynamic retail environment.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• One year of experience driving a heavy-duty truck or large van.
• Ability to lift and move items, assist in loading/unloading and stocking shelves.

Responsabilidades

• Drives Salvation Army truck along scheduled route to pick up donations and/or deliver merchandise to customers.
• Operates cash register, rings up items, collects monies, counts change, and prepares receipts.
• Prepares and balances cash drawer and runs routine register printouts; prepares bank deposits.
• Maintains neatness and security of the cash register area and stock.
• Assists customers by explaining store policy and answering questions on pricing/purchasing items.
• Assists in thrift store and warehouse operations and ensures safety of vehicle and donations.
