Job summary

The Salvation Army A Georgia Corp in El Paso, TX is seeking a Part-Time with Benefits role to assist the Truck Driver with loading and unloading donated materials and deliveries. This position supports store production needs and overall corps operations, with an emphasis on reliable attendance and ability to perform physical tasks.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, and prior box truck driving experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school or GED preferred but not required.
• Prior experience driving a box truck preferred.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience providing the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Job Details: Job Location: TX-El Paso Thrift Store - El Paso, TX, Position Type: Part Time with Benefits 20 or More, Salary Range: $12.10Hourly, Job Category: Store, Job Summary:

Assists the Truck Driver in the loading and unloading routine pickups and/or deliveries of material, donated or otherwise, to serve production needs of the store and/ or general operation of corps.

Key Responsibilities:

Donations Pick-Ups and Deliveries Responsibilities (100%)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to read, write and communicate the English language effectively.
• Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing.
• Duties require frequent periods of physical mobility including but not limited to standing, walking, climbing, bending, squatting, and lifting. Physical duties may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of sitting.
• Extensive amount of physical effort required associated with lifting, moving, and carrying heavy objects (up to 100 lbs.) frequently.

Working Conditions:

• Work requires riding in a vehicle daily with exposure to the outdoors where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, heat or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
