Family Health Centers at NYU Langone in Brooklyn seeks a Part-Time Transportation Assistant to provide safe transportation for older adults in our day programs. The role involves operating program vehicles, assisting riders with mobility needs, and maintaining accurate driving logs and records.

Responsibilities include coordinating routes, vehicle maintenance, and immediate emergency response. Must have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and at least three years of driving

Formación

• High school diploma required.
• Valid driver's license with at least 3 years of licensed driving experience.
• No convictions for driving while intoxicated or impaired by drugs.
• No more than one moving violation within the past two years.
• Ability to operate lift-equipped vehicles and provide passenger assistance.

Responsabilidades

• Operate program vehicles to transport older adults in a safe and courteous manner.
• Pick up and drop off participants according to schedules and routes.
• Assist passengers, including those with disabilities, with boarding and exiting using lifts and ramps.
• Coordinate and schedule vehicle maintenance with the supervisor.
• Maintain driving logs, mileage, fuel, and other records accurately.
• Ensure vehicles are safe, clean, and well-maintained.
• Respond immediately to emergencies by notifying the supervisor and responders.
• Communicate effectively with staff, clients, and caregivers.
• Participate in required trainings and certifications.

Conocimientos

Valid driver's license

Three years driving experience

Lift-equipped vehicle operation
