Job summary

Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) is seeking a Part-Time Temporary Trail Point Swim Instructor who is passionate about swimming and helping others develop this essential life skill. No prior experience required, as in-house training is provided, with emphasis on safety and proper technique in our state-of-the-art pools.

Responsibilities include assessing swimmers, assigning levels, tracking attendance, and keeping facilities clean and safe. Salary ranges $13.25–$14.25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to complete and pass Trail Point Swim Instructor training.
• Desirable certifications include Red Cross Lifeguard and First Aid.
• Red Cross CPR/AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Teaching a life skill to our youngest members.
• Evaluating members' swimming ability to determine the correct swim level.
• Tracking attendance and performance of skills from each participant, and maintaining the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities.
