Qualifications

• Faith commitment and personal relationship with Christ; aligns with NPPC beliefs.
• Proven experience directing adult choir and/or handbell ensembles.
• Skilled in a mix of current, traditional and classical choral literature.
• Proficient in conducting technique; able to read and arrange music.
• Strong interpersonal skills for volunteers and staff.
• Experience with Planning Center and ProPresenter.
• Educational background: Associate’s degree in music or equivalent.
• Church or non-profit setting experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the choir and handbell ensembles in weekly worship.
• Direct choir and handbells during Sunday services and rehearsals.
• Select and develop anthems and liturgy for services.
• Grow musical ability of ensembles.
• Nurture volunteers; communicate schedules and calls.
• Arrange substitutes when unavailable.
• Collaborate with pastoral staff to align music with sermon themes.
• Coordinate with the Accompanist on hymn selection and worship order.
• Enter elements into Planning Center and ProPresenter lyrics.
