BetMGM LLC in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a US Sports Inplay Trader to trade live events across major US sports, manage risk, and support product initiatives. You will ensure timely event listings, accurate pricing, and compliance with state regulations while collaborating with global teams.
The role requires a strong numeric aptitude, deep sports knowledge, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
- Experience in sports betting and knowledge of the betting industry.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills for a fast-paced trading role.
- Deep understanding of major US sports and up-to-date rules.
Responsibilities
- Trade US sports events through the product lifecycle with accurate pricing.
- Follow trading policies to manage risk and liabilities.
- Ensure US sports events appear on BetMGM webpages and apps on time.
- Facilitate creation of events in compliance with state regulations.
- Ensure accurate settlement of results.
- Support pre-live trading as needed.
- Engage in relevant chat groups and communicate collaboratively.
- Conduct customer analysis and take proactive actions.
- Support all product initiatives.

As part of the trading team, the US Sports Inplay Trader trades live events of US major league sports (American football, Baseball, Basketball and Ice Hockey). This also includes managing risk, market liabilities and supporting the product
- Trade US sports events through the product lifecycle with accurate pricing, while delivering a positive customer experience, with particular emphasis on Live Trading.
- Ensure trading policy is followed across the board when dealing with risk and liabilities.
- Ensure US Sports events appear on BetMGM webpages and apps correctly and on time.
- Facilitate accurate creation of all events, ensuring they all adhere to state regulations and restrictions.
- Result games ensuring accuracy of settlement.
- Support pre-live trading function as required.
- Active in relevant chat groups with collaborative communication.
- Pro-active approach to customer analysis and actions.
- Support all product initiatives
- Must be able to stand or sit and operate computers and other technological devices for extended periods of time
- Sports betting experience and good knowledge of the betting industry
- A high level of interest and knowledge in the major US Sports
- Familiarity with College and Major League players as well as up-to-date rules across all sports
- Highly numerate and prepared for a fast-paced environment
- The ability to work both independently and within a large global team
- Strong communication skills
- Reliable and must be willing to be flexible with working hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Ability to remain focused and deliver high quality work even when under pressure
- Positive attitude and will to support when needed
Applicants must possess legal authorization to work for our company in the U.S. without the need for immigration sponsorship. At this time, this role is not eligible for immigration-related employment authorization sponsorship including H-1B, O-1, E-3, TN, OPT, etc.
The pay range for this position is as follows:
50,800.00--67,700.00
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for participation in a performance-based bonus plan.
As an online gaming company, BetMGM is required to comply with state gaming regulations which includes licensing obligations. Applicable employees must be licensed by at least one jurisdictional agency, although certain positions require licensing by multiple agencies. Failure to become licensed or maintain licensure with each agency as required for the role may result in termination of employment. Please note that the licensing process includes comprehensive background checks which may include a review of criminal records, financial history, and personal background verification.
In addition, candidates must comply with and support BetMGM's responsible gambling policies, procedures, and initiatives.
