Job summary

Northern Tool + Equipment is seeking a Part-Time Cashier to assist customers at checkout and uphold our brand standards. You’ll help customers find tools, process transactions, and promote protection plans and credit cards to earn incentives.

The role values a friendly, service-oriented attitude and flexibility to work weekends/holidays, with a focus on teamwork and efficient service. Prior retail exposure is appreciated but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Prior retail sales, cashier or customer service experience admired, but not required.
• Flexible availability and willingness to work some weekends and holidays as needed.
• A love of tools & equipment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs.
• Service focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Greeting all customers as they enter the store and ensuring they enjoy the best shopping experience possible.
• Completing all transactions quickly and accurately.
• Offering our Protection Plan on eligible products and offering our credit card on all customer transactions (incentive pay for selling protection plans and credit cards).
• Being a team player by helping put away product, executing price changes, or other tasks to help your team better serve our customers.
