Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a part-time Retail Associate (25 hours per week) to greet customers, operate the register, and help manage donated merchandise. Responsibilities include processing sales, assisting donors per center policy, stocking and pricing items, and collaborating with the team to meet daily goals.

Qualifications

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift
• Ability to bend, reach, and lift or move merchandise throughout the day
• High school diploma or currently pursuing

Responsibilities

• Greet customers & donors and provide friendly, helpful service
• Operate the register and process sales transactions accurately
• Assist donors with donations according to center policy
• Sort, process, hang, tag, price, and prepare donated merchandise
• Move priced merchandise to the sales floor, display areas, or other designated locations
• Keep the store clean, safe, and organized
• Work with team members to support daily sales and production goals
• Other duties as assigned
