Job summary

St. Vincent de Paul Georgia is seeking a part-time Stock Associate for our thrift store in Carrollton, GA. You will help receive and price merchandise, assist customers, and keep the shop organized to ensure a welcoming experience for donors and shoppers.

Your excellent customer service skills, keen eye for detail and friendly, hard-working demeanor will make you stand out. As the Part Time Stock Associate, you will be responsible for:

• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming merchandise
• Remove damaged, expired, or defective merchandise and report issues to management
• Pricing merchandise in accordance with established procedures
• Providing great experience for customers while donating, shopping and checking-out purchases.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly store and processing environment
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management

We are looking for people who:

• Comfortable with physical work, including moving furniture
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, squat, and climb for extended periods
• Ability to push and pull carts or pallet jacks
• Enjoy detailed oriented work
• Are diligent and hard working
• Organized
• Can go above and beyond to meet the needs of customers
• Reliable and on time
• Previous retail and cash handling experience is a plus

This is a part-time position (2 – 3 days per week, plus weekends). The selected individual must be available between 10:0 0 am – 6:00 pm Monday – Sunday. This is an active job; frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting and squatting will be a part of the daily routine. Must be able to lift to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
