Job summary

Denton County Friends of the Family, Inc. is seeking a part-time Thrift Store Associate to join our Upscale Resale team. The role focuses on friendly, efficient service to donors and shoppers while organizing displays and handling donations and cash with accuracy.

Ideal candidates have retail experience and the ability to open/close shifts. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. This grant-funded position may lead to a shift lead role based on performance and funds availability.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment including opening/closing and cash handling.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a welcoming, clean environment at the Thrift Store.
• Maintain an excellent rapport with donors, customers and volunteers.
• Sorting donated materials and setting up store displays for merchandise.
• Provide customer service by greeting customers, responding to inquiries and managing complaints.
• Maintain records and reports on store activities including daily sales receipts.
