The Salvation Army Indiana Division is seeking a Store Associate in New Albany, IN. You will support the thrift store’s daily operations, greet customers, and assist donors while upholding the mission to serve others.

The role requires a high school diploma, background checks, and Safe From Harm training within 90 days. Prior retail experience is a plus, and teamwork is essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks will be completed and reviewed.
• Experience in retail marketing and sales is preferred.
• Must complete Safe From Harm training within the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly, responsive, and helpful manner.
• Assist donors and shoppers, process donations and issue receipts.
• Sort, clean, display, store, and price donated items per store procedures.
• Maintain clean sorting/storage/receiving areas and dispose of debris.
• Handle color-of-the-week items and assist with the baler; heavy lifting required.
• Follow store policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
