Job summary

The Salvation Army Midland Division Thrift Store in Marion, Illinois, is seeking a part-time Store Worker to support the Mission and perform cashiering, sorting, pricing, and display duties.

You will lift donated items, help customers, load and unload, and keep the showroom neat. Basic math and communication skills are required, with bondability noted.

Qualifications

• High school/equivalent diploma and one-year related work experience or two years work experience without diploma.
• Must be able to operate a cash register and make correct change.
• Must be bondable and a team player with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers and staff to promote positive relationships.
• Sort donated items.
• Price donated items.
• Place donated items on racks or shelves for display.
• Assist in loading and unloading the store's truck and donors' vehicles.
• Maintain cleanliness of showroom and back areas; perform custodial duties.
