Job summary

Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin is seeking a Therapy Technician to deliver front-line customer service in person or by phone. Under the supervision of licensed staff, you will support therapists with patient screening, scheduling, check-in/out, and related tasks in a 0.75 FTE, roughly 30 hours per week.

The role emphasizes professional communication, organization, and adherence to HIPAA while serving a diverse patient population in a collaborative health care setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum six (6) months work experience in a setting that requires customer service skills; medical reception preferred.
• Possession of or eligibility for a valid Healthcare Provider CPR/AED certificate required with 4 months of employment.
• Ability to travel to various work sites and have personal transportation; Wisconsin driver license if operating a vehicle.
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication, and customer service skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and typing 40 wpm.
• Experience with EPIC scheduling and electronic medical records is desirable.
• Commitment to HIPAA confidentiality and ability to work with diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line customer service in person or by telephone.
• Handle messaging, screening, registering, scheduling, check-in/out, and cashiering.
• Perform defined patient care tasks under direct supervision of a licensed professional.
• Support department operations and adapt to varying patient populations.
