Qualifications

• Undergraduate teaching requires a doctorate or a master’s degree in the teaching discipline (or a master’s with 18 grad hours).
• Graduate courses require a terminal degree in the discipline or related field.
• Competence, effectiveness and related achievements are considered for effective teaching.

Responsibilities

• Develop and/or update the course syllabus.
• Prepare lectures, projects, or other student assignments.
• Meeting all designated class periods.
• Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours.
• Grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner.
• Submitting completed mid‑semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations.

Education

Doctorate or Master's in the teaching discipline

Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline

Terminal degree in the related discipline for graduate courses
