Job summary

WSU’s School of Fine and Performing Arts is accepting applications for adjunct teaching positions for Fall 2026 through Summer 2027 academic year. Individuals with academic and performance qualifications are encouraged to apply for positions in Theatre and Dance.

Minimum Qualifications include professional experience or academic qualifications in Fine and Performing Arts, a degree one level above the teaching level, and at least 1 year of professional or teaching experience. Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Professional experience or academic qualifications covering subject matter taught within the Fine and Performing Arts.
• Applicant must possess an academic degree one level above the level at which they will teach, except in programs for terminal degrees or when equivalent experience is established.
• If teaching outside field of their advanced degree, adjuncts must have completed at least 18 graduate level credit hours of instruction in the field where they teach.
• At least 1 year professional or teaching experience or the equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in Theatre and Dance as part of the adjunct role.
• Contribute to occasional departmental duties as assigned.
• Participate in program activities during Fall 2026 through Summer 2027.
